Wilco gives Glasgow fans money back
Well, the promoters and some ticket agencies do
When the phone rings and you don’t recognise the number, what do you do?
At CBC Towers, we usually end up answering it anyway but then again, we are very lonely and just like the thrill of talking to people from time to time. We were put in this position today but thankfully, there was a pleasant surprise at the end of it.
It was a nice man from See Tickets phoning up to inform us that the ticket prices for the Wilco Barrowlands gig had been set too high and we would be due a refund.
Huzzah we said!
Of course, it actually entailed ordering a further set of tickets, incurring a further cost before finally being refunded the original payment some point within the next ten days.
It’s nice that the overpayment has been recognised and rectified quickly but the whole paying twice and then waiting for the repayment isn’t that great is it? It’s the middle of the month and not everyone can afford to have such outlays…twice. Ah well, it’ll all be fine in the long run.
It’s a bit like life really?
Anyways, seeing Wilco for a little bit cheaper can only be a good thing as it gives more cash to spend on ‘Handshake Drugs’:
So all in all, we’re still pretty psyched about seeing Wilco. They’ll be at Primavera in Barcelona in May and then the UK tour in September includes the Glasgow Barrowlands gig. A good gap between seeing Jeff and the boys but hopefully two enjoyable sets coming our way!
What’s your favourite Wilco track?
