Shy Child launch new record but can’t tour

Concussion stops the rock

In the lazy rush to throw bands into genres, Shy Child were one of many bands placed into New-Rave bracket.

Remember those days? Weren’t they great? It was neon clothing, hoodies and behaving irresponsibly, yes, that all meant a big change in Cold Blooded Towers that summer.

Or maybe not but we really took to Shy Child. The duo put on a hell of a live show and their 2007 album, ‘The Noise Won’t Stop’ still gets listened to from time to time so it must have something about it.

New album ‘Liquid Love’ will hopefully be as good as the previous record and if ‘Disconnected’ is anything to go by, we think it just might:

The band are meant to be undertaking a UK tour at the moment but due to a concussion suffered by Pete, the UK and European tour has been cancelled. They were meant to be hitting King Tuts in Glasgow on 2nd of March as part of the tour but heyho, what can you do about injuries?

The band have stuck a picture of Pete with his neckbrace on twitpics to show how serious the injury was.

So that is a blow for all the fans but hopefully the new album will help them get through the disappointment of missing out on the gigs.
