Optimo remix Florence & The Machine

Teaching an old dog days a new trick or two

With success, comes payments and punishments. Florence & The Machine are currently riding high on Brit Award success but this has put the artist firmly back on the touring and promotional treadmill.

Given that Florence has been working pretty hard for the past couple of years, this has left a dearth of new material for the record label to mine and profit from. Therefore, the re-release is the answer, which is why ‘Dog Days Are Over’ will be coming at the British record buying public again in April.

You have to give the long term fans a reason to buy the track again though and one of the bonus tracks is the Optimo remix.

If you aren’t aware of Optimo, they are responsible for more lost Monday mornings in Glasgow than Celtic and Rangers combined. Their club night has become the thing of legend and they are still working hard and bringing classics and new bands to the masses.

Here is their remix of the forthcoming single:

It’s still all go for Flo. A Coachella set in April is followed by a UK tour, supported byThe Drums in May, and she is off to Primavera at the end of the month. After that, the summer festival circuit follows.

It’s all very well for shifting units but who knows when the follow up album will be available?
