Mark E Smith falls for the Gorillaz

The main man is also Primavera bound

He may have wrote elastic man but he has also got a walk on part on Plastic Beach. Earlier on, we caught up with Lou Reed hanging out with the Gorillaz and now it is time for Mark E Smith to get the once over.

“Where’s North from here?” Well Mark, we won’t tell you as you are only going to hit it! My cat says ouch!!!!

Yeah, we have a lot of love for Mark E Smith. Sure, we wouldn’t want to be in a band with him but when it comes to longetivity and having a career history that will stand the test of time, its hard to argue with the man.

If you haven’t heard of The Fall, we definitely recommend that you spend some time checking them out. There are plenty of misses in the bands back catalogue but when they hit the spot, they hit it damn well.

Mark E Smith and The Fall are just one of the indie legends that are making up the Primavera 2010 line-up so if you have a hankering to see them in the sun, you know where to go. The band will be right at home in the eclectic indie line-up…it just all depends on what Mr Smith turns up for the set.

We’ll leave you with a special version of ‘Hit The North’ by everyone’s favourite papier mache hit-monger Frank Sidebottom.
