Eminem to have Recovery at T in the Park

New album out before Balado performance

Although T in the Park have been criticised for their line-up this year in some quarters, the addition of Eminem now looks to be an inspired move. The Detroit rapper is scheduled to have his new album ‘Recovery’ out near the end of June.

Perfect timing for the July festival in Balado.

Eminem was supposed to be releasing ‘Relapse 2’, a follow-up to his ‘Relapse’ record but the rapper has had a change of heart about they plans. Whether that was all just good PR talk or the new material feels like a change in direction, the fans of the rapper won’t worry too much either way.

Also, how much of the new material finds its way into the live show for T in the Park is another issue but you wouldn’t be shocked if one or two new tracks finds their way on. The fans will still want the big hits and choruses though and it is unlikely Eminem will deviate from this.

It certainly puts T in the Park back at the forefront of media attention and you can guarantee the formerly controversial rapper will be in the headlines before and after the festival. He doesn’t have the same publicity attention style of behaviour as before but Eminem still knows how to put on a show.

Perhaps unknowingly, Marshall Mathers has added a little bit of spring to the T in the Park step.
